    Tall Grill

20 years ago if someone offered me a tall grill I would have passed. Why would a short guy want a tall grill? Or a tall girl? It's like a tall sink; not for me.

Fast forward and "tall grills" are the new Porsche part lottery ticket. Guys who still dream of barnfinds and friends who will love them as much as their dog does believe they'll find a tall grill at a swap meet for 100 bucks from an unsuspecting country bumpkin. (I know, it can happen.)
    So, onto my ad.

As a marginally successful proprietor of a remedial boys school for Porsche mechanics I don't mind offering my opinion here; especially when no one wants it.

Tall grills come in basically 2 flavors:

Original condition that can be bolted on a car without apology and ones that need restoring. Grill restoration is a tedious affair and a ton of work; even if a resto candidate looks to be in relatively good shape, it's virtually the same amount of work as doing one that is a mess.
In an effort to purify my tall herd I'm offering one that would fall into the red-headed step child category. All there and ready for restoration.

Get a chair before the music stops for the bargain price of $4500 OBO.

I have never heard of a tall grille. Are you being mischievous Frank?

Tall grilles were used on the 901 and very early 911s. Maybe 200 cars...? not certain when the change happened.

Instead of wearing those silly latex gloves I decided to plastic dip my upper extremities.

Took me awhile to find the formula for orange flesh tone.

Hey Frank, thanks for brightening up an otherwise gloomy and cold Sunday here in Colorado ranch land! Congrats on discovering the secret to orange skin tone... haven't looked at this forum in years, but it was worth a look today.
