    Must be a period case, if you can find one. Since they are no longer available, you can make a replica period case, but you can't use a modern case.


    From FIA Appendix K.

    Engine
    6.4.1 The engine components and ancillaries must be of period
    specification, must be of the same make, model and type fitted
    and conform to a manufacturer’s specification for which period
    evidence exists.

    Also-- a 66mm Kurbelwelle is only a 6-bolt version, except for the rare 956 version, or you would need a 3,0 Carrera case. Or you could make a custom, 9 bolt, 66mm kurbelwelle, expensive but possible. This has been done a long time ago:
