I don’t think it exists as such for a 1971. Didn’t they stop the Kardex system by 1970?

I think the only way to get info on your car is to ask for a CoA. Porsche will check their internal database, which is not composed of copies of the Kardex cards as we know them for the earlier cars and which are sold via some members of this board.

no Kardex for 71. Very hard to get accurate information on the 70 and up cars. The COA from Porsche now does not even tell you the engine or transmission number, just will verify if you have the right ones when you give them the number. The 500 Porsche classic inspection will verify, but the kids who do the inspections PARENTS were not even born when your 71 was made! There are several people who post here who can, however help you get correct info. I am sure that they will comment.

While the Kardex itself is not available to me for the 1970 & later cars, I can help by making up a report similar to the old CoA based on factory info that I can obtain, and info that you can find on the car. I do require photos of the VIN to verify. My reports are generally more informative than the old CoA as well. I just cannot claim them to be official certificates because I am not a Porsche employee. It is best to email me for details.

Yes, but the price depends on if it is a Kardex, or a CoA equivalent. Then there is also the currency exchange rates so the fee needs to be adjusted from time to time; I ask you to pay in CAD, and I have to pay in Euro. So it is best to email, let me know what is wanted, and get a quote.

davep helped me out with the translation of my kardex and he went above and beyond as far as the details. He emailed me a very nice comprehensive report. I didn’t want to take a chance with getting the new COA so I had him translate mine.
