    The issue is not just limited to Vredestein. It applies to any tire with rubber compounds designed for warm weather, generally called "Summer High-Performance" "Summer Performance" or "Summer Grand Touring Tires". If you run any of those and live where it often gets below 40*F and still want to drive, you should be prepared to switch to All-Season or Winter tires when the season arrives.
