    The diameter of the wood is 17 mm. I also have a dated 1968 wood wheel. That wheel measured 18 mm. So, yes their is a difference in the thickness of the wood. Not really noticeable though when side by side.

The #’s and letters are “5675” and “VDM”. No date stamp. I believe this is a 66-67 wheel. Also, some comments regarding the dark color of the wheel. The photos were taken in my kitchen with little light. Took additional photos outside in my garage and the wheel is definitely lighter. Will try to load additional photos.

    Wheel is now sold. Will be installed in a very original unrestored car.
