    I’m curious as to how much weight all this sound deadening stuff adds. I’m sure there is a difference depending on coverage and what product is used but can anyone who’s done this offer up a ballpark number?

    Hi Jens, awesome job! Have gone down that path in the past also and superior in every sense to the "originality" path I am walking down now in terms of dampening.

    Sorry, can not help you on that. If I had known I would have weighed the pieces for you. If I would have to venture a guess, I would say the factory insulation and dampening adds 20-30 lbs, so not that much.

    I have great respect for genuine factory authenticity. I love reading the posts that convey incredible knowledge of factory details from year to year. Great contributions to these pages about all these wonderful cars. Thank you all.
