    Son of Soterik does well.....

Son_of_Soterik (Andy, he's the older one) has done well. Though I am on facebook, this forum is actually where I have many of my contacts (lucky me, I know...), so I thought I would post this here as both of my sons are in fact members here. Andy is known to more than a few members here as he has attended a few events with me in the past (RGruppe and LA Lit meets), but not much recently as his education keeps getting in the way.

Andy was given an award last week for the most "pro bono" hours put in by a law student in the state of Oregon. He did this during the course of his 2nd year at Lewis and Clark Law School in Portland OR, he is now in his 3rd year. He put these hours in for 2 small non profit law firms that specialize in public interest. He's also doing extremely well academically and is on law review, and does a bunch of other stuff as well that I can't keep track of.

The pic is of him being presented the award by the honorable Martha Lee Waters the current Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the state of Oregon.

Needless to say, very proud of him. Unfortunately, I don't think he's going to be taking over Auto Foreign....

As a retired lawyer I know pro bono is hard and generally unrecognized work. Nice to see it rewarded. Maybe some day he will be the Chief handing out the award.

Ahhhh the sixties... I envision myself one early Saturday morning wearing plaid shorts, black shoes with white socks smoking a cigarette heading to the hardware store to buy a bag of nails.
SWB cars are an acquired taste however once acquired theirs no turning back.
