Regarding your headlight buckets, the pre 68 buckets only have one notch for the adjusting screw in the headlight rim. 68 and later have two as the H1 headlights have 4 adjusting screws in the rim.
It's getting close to painting the 67S I'm restoring. Do the front fender screws and rectangular washers get painted black or do they remain yellow zinc?
Painted black seems to be most correct. See: http://www.early911sregistry.org/for...l=1#post995506

As promised, I would provide you pictures of the modifications we did to new SWB front fenders we bought at our local Porsche Centre (genuine Porsche "Made in Germany"), to make them as historically correct as possible for a 67S:
- remove the hole in the wall next to the fuel access (and make more curved)
- change the right of 3 holes of the hinge basis for the fuel access decklid (and use an original fuel decklid with full and symmetric hinge)
- widen the lips to 21 mm
- remove 4 tabs from the headlight buckets
- remove the front right hole (when looking into it) from the bottom of the headlight buckets
- remove the right under notch from the headlight buckets
Absolutely. Fantastic. Thread!!!
I don't know how I missed this until today.
If you need any additional photos of the car in post #23 I would be happy to take pictures of anything you specifically would like to see. My hand makes a cameo in one of the photos. The car pictured is a 67 912 Karmann.
