Thread: Finally

    Finally

Simon Jackson @ GT Porsche magazine finally popped the question. Get a copy and read it. Quite good, actually.

Coming from a "tuning world" magazine background I think he's on point.

I've been vocal about this since the first video came out. I always just hear "he's a really nice guy, go easy". Oh well.

    Simon Jackson is good stuff.

I've said it before - Magnus is a great marketer with a great schtick.

He is a great marketer AND has a British accent. That is a win, win.

    LOL.

Anyone with a British accent can pull the wool on any American. It's almost laughable.

With a Russian accent you can scare the pants off your customers. Now there's a potential partnership!

"Drilling random holes in a 911" is being rude to Magnus. You may not like his style and I do agree that his fame is out of proportion to the cars (plenty of other cooler hot rods around) but his mods are hardly random. I do think he uses too many colors per car in my opinion.

And yes, in person he is just another nice guy early 911 enthusiast.

Porsche loves him. He's one of the few who can connect with the mellenials. His cars are all about marketing and art. There's no mention of performance.

The interesting thing is how he simply paints them and puts new wheels on them and he gets instant big money. If you skip over the engine, suspension and brakes you can save a lot of money. He's a smart man.

We're not the crowd that he's interested in. We're an older group and he's targeting the young folks that make a whole lot of money.

Once again he's a true marketing genius.
