I wonder why no one here is defending No Regrets' Slate 67S? Is it double standard? Is it that Freddie posts here and the other guy is new or not known? Or is it that 150Gs is chump change and mistakes are OK? It is apples to oranges in the sense that one is normal and one is an S. Do normals not merit the same level of detail as an S? Open for debate I think.

My gripe as a pessimist freak is that Franny's for sale ad here states claims that are simply not true. It looks like a nicely done car, just 'oversold' in the description. NoRegrets does not state anything concrete. ALSO a very beautiful car.
I got my 'D' as a disassembled car, fresh from a "western European" restoration shop in new paint, ready to reassemble and drive. I had to start over because after closer looks we found so many issues it did not make sense to reassemble it as is. After sandblasting the result was 'challenging' to say the least. And yes, now it is too nice to drive.

True Jules. Freddie did say perfect restoration of a true rust free Porsche. That is a beautiful D. stone gray/green? Nice! Is that a low bar up front?

Which one?
There are some excellent places over here and off-course also places to avoid.
Is it Western or rather Eastern Europe?
Usually in Western Europe, the US and Eastern Europe restorations need to be redone...
That's why cars that have not been there, tend to have a surplus value over here...
Netherlands, with receipts for all the work done. I know US restorations have a bad rap in Europe, this was complete junk. here is a pic of all the 'new' sheet metal that was replaced after stripping it. Floors were wrong, battery box incorrect, rockers wrong, door skins junk etc etc. on top of 2 buckets of body filler that came off.
yes, it's stone gray on green leather, low bow (Euro delivery car with optional US bumpers).
Back to early 911s now

Good morning! Thanks guys for all your compliments on the car. Bottom line, great car great value. I could talk to you guys all week on restoration cost, values, parts, craftsmanship, etc., however, at the end of the day only one thing really matters. How much restoration can I afford...meaning financially, emotionally and even physically? How much can you payout before the wife says "I'm getting a divorce" or "when do I get my toy". I have done $300,000 restoration but I have also done $50,000 restorations. As a restorer, I endeavor to find a balance on my client cars as regards to cost and quality of parts. There is more than one way to skin a gato.
Thanks 911S Registry for allowing me to post my friends car here. If not sold here soon, perhaps BAT.
