Found the original engine case to my 1969S

I bought my 69S last year that was at one time posted on this board by a fellow member. The first miracle happened when I located the owner from early 1980 to 2014 and he had the original MFI set up and he sent it to me.

Now I have found the original engine case in a car located in the state my car originally came from. It has been in this car for 20 years. I had to buy the whole car to get it and with the help of a fellow member from the Pelican board we have confirmed the engine number.

The engine has less than 12,000 miles since rebuild by a reputable Porsche shop so that is an added bonus. Will be pulling both engines out and swapping short cases.

I have helped reunite a few 60's muscle car engines in the past but never thought I would be so fortunate.

You are now, of course, required to write a story for the Esses...

Please give us the whole story, photos, contacts, how you came on the deal, the whole nine yards.

This is the stuff that many of us thrive on ....

    AND, a hearty congratulations !

In order to secure my 69S original case I had to buy the car it has been residing in for 20 years or so. The car is a 914-6 conversion and it just got delivered today. Hopefully start the process next month.
