    2018 L.A. Auto Show . . .

    Gotta kinda late start --- ~0730-ish . . . and/so were treated to L.A. Friday-AM traffic. Woulda taken pics, but . . .

. . . nothing to really show/tell. Every time I'm in a mess like that, I know why I left. Get the heebie-geebies jus' thinkin' about it

Anyways --- swung by The Pantry . . . did the 'number 2' --- = ham (sorry, piggies --- I was expecting chicken), eggs (over-easy), a foothill of potatoes (dosed with a consonant amount of sriracha + bad judgement), pancakes (w/ syrup, 'course) + coupla glasses of milk . . . left looking/feeling a lot like a zeppelin . . . + just as explosive . . . maybe more

I'm sure some of those calories are still stuck to my circulatory system. Oh well --- once every other year . . .

And, after wandering over to the West Hall, made our entrance . . .

. . . where The Porsche Palace beckoned

Didn't stay long. Not much to see . . .

    . . . no Caymans or Boxsters, no GT3s or 4s . . .

    . . . just the Panamera GTS + 'New 911'

    Zzzzzzzzzzzz

    All 'at's missing from their line-up now? . . .

    . . . is a pick-up truck

With product like this? ---- Singer will be in business FOR EVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEER

Think this car was previously critiqued, here?

Couldn't get close enough for an ID, but is this the car that was restored by Porsche Classic?

    Anyways --- niiiiiiice touch w/ the surf board . . .

. . . only ever see these mounted at car shows

And what's with the glass barrier?

Excepting their 996 GT3.2, Porsches have pretty-much been off my shopping list since they went water-cooled --- prolly earlier . . .

I like to think of Porsche cars as something simple/smart/elegant/elemental . . .

    . . . so, to see them now evolving into this . . .

    . . . hhhhh

    More 2018 L.A. Auto Show . . .

    Honda . . .

    . . . Civic --- Type R? . . . I guess

    I'm sure you can get this with a financing . . . some warranty . . . even insurance

Brilliant concept, here . . . = a fifty-thousand-dollar $10k car. (And to think that Ford + GM gave up building cars to do just trucks*) I give this body-kit about 5 seconds in my trailer park. Then/again --- this is prolly exactly what the Demographic this little buggy is targeting wants to see? . . .

    . . . oh --- but they're not here

    Needs more wing!

    * Honda builds trucks, too . . . = ruh-roh!

    More 2018 L.A. Auto Show . . .

    Mitsubishi . . .

    . . . Evolution Concept

    I admit --- I still get a little warm/nostalgic every time I hear Mitsubishi + Evolution in the same sentence . . .
    http://www.early911sregistry.org/for...l=1#post483583

. . . but now a little apprehensive/nauseous when I see what Mitsu applies those words to these days

What happened to These Guys, anyway? IMO --- most o' their product is total shyte . . . I mean they couldn't give their stuff away, few years back

Didn't stick around for 'the Pitch' on this, but --- I've always had a soft-spot for small/agile/get-me-dirty kinds o' cars, anyway, so . . .

. . . this got me thinking about the ol' Meyers Manx --- another one of my favs . . .
    http://www.early911sregistry.org/for...l=1#post483212

And anybody 'member the Pontiac Stinger? . . .
    http://www.early911sregistry.org/for...l=1#post669600)

    Anyway --- we'll see where all this goes . . . = stay tuned? . . .

    . . . just --- somebody please fix 'at face! . . . ugh

    More 2018 L.A. Auto Show . . .

    . . . Nissan Skyline GT-R

Not sure which spec this one is . . . 'pure,' 'premium,' or 'track edition'. Or, could be a Nismo . . . note the tags oh-so-carefully lined-up on all four wheels

    Twin turbo DOHC V6 + awd. Been around since 2007, started-out w/ ~500hp, now = ~600 --- hence its nickname 'Godzilla' . . . but/still 4000 lbs

    (聖なるたわごと!)

Not sure how many get built each year, but --- after 10 years in production . . . not exactly a common sight --- even here in car-choked SoCal

Looks pretty tame, but supposedly super-capable. Future collectible, maybe?
