    Green face
    Date 7/66 early production date if you have 66 built 1967S
    Writing on side don’t know what it means

    I think the word inscribed on the side of you each is “oberfläche”... probably used to mark the “top” or “uppermost surface” of the tach so you can install it right side up + reinstall wiring harness correctly. Just a guess.

    interesting to see this exact same handwriting on porsche gauges again and again...maybe a QC guy did this

    don`t think that any native german speaker would use the word oberfläche(surface) for the purpose you mentioned ... and the position of the inscribtion i`s not even on top(oben).
    i remember the days when those sold for 4 digit €

    It should probably be sent out to be cleaned and checked
    You have to start with right tach to finish with one.
