    1968 9/11 L gas tank support

I have seen this more than once or twice.... It has been present on a car that "looks" proper... My question is … The spot welds (I marked them with chalk) Are these done in the factory??? 1968 9/11 LName: DSCN0108.jpg

Bob, can't work out the angle of your picture but they are factory. Put them back when you do your tank support. See mine here in my 70 ST build.

Nice work Bob. I would call them more of a plug/ blob weld. Obviously Gas welded at the factory. Here's my originals from my 69 built car that was a 30 year off the road barn find. You can see them better in this shot.

I chose to go ahead and duplicate the tack welds. … If they prove to be incorrect my trusty grinder can remove later....Name: DSCN0118.jpg
