Flasher question for those with a 1973 cars

    Hi,
A question for those of you with 1973 cars please: when you pull your handbrake does the dashboard brake warning light flash and make a ticking noise like the turn signal tell tale lights (only the brake light, not the tell tale lights obviously)? I know this was not the case on earlier cars.
    Thanks
    Gitesh

My 1973 brake light and the turn signals both go on when I pull hand brake. Also they don't flash, they just stay on till I release the handbrake. I thought that was normal but now I'm not sure.

That is not normal. Indicator should flash when the indicators or hazard lights are on. Hand brake should flash when the hand brake is pulled. Both are independent.

Should turn signal lights on tachometer flash while emergency/hazard button is engaged? All four exterior blinkers flash on and off as normal. If the turn signal lights on the tachometer should be flashing I suppose the reason they don't is because they are somehow tied the hand brake. Doesn't sound like an easy fix.
