Price check on a Porsche factory tool

I have a P200 factory valve spring compression tool and would like to seek price value. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Here's one that sold recently on eBay for $725 plus shipping... https://www.ebay.com/itm/Original-19...p2047675.l2557
This one was sprayed over with black paint, and looked somewhat rusty underneath.

The hammertone paint on yours is original and actually pretty nice, but the finish on the base plate has worn off, and a few parts like the one bright spring have been replaced.

Bob, here are two of mine in original condition. These base plates still have their original blackened finish.
Early versions of these had wood bases, like the 356 tool, but the wood didn't hold up well.

These have both blue and green hammertone paint, and I also have one in gray paint. After 40-50 years, the paint tends to flake off, no matter how well they're treated.

Bad enough that our tool rolls have turned into trophies and owners would be aghast if they saw someone using them for their intended purpose. It will surely be a sad day when common shop tools become museum pieces as well.

    Bob,
Don’t forget to include paint meter readings on the hammertone finish.

Well, I do try to rotate the exhibits every few months.
