    Choice between 2 classics

    Hello all,

    I am considering two cars , one a 2.2S MY 1970, and the other 2.0T MY 1969 .
They are both with history and backing service invoices and both with a documented restoration to perfection.

    The 1970 2.2S is at a price of 18% more than the 1969 2.0T

With the difference in price not being a huge issue ( considering the purchase of a car for collection ) what would be the best choice if there was one ?

I thank you all for your help in answering .
I will purposely not mention the colours not to get any biased answers , they are both in gorgeous colours and trims inside.

If both cars are physically equal (Score equally at a concours) and documentation equal, then the 2.2S is a much rarer car and far more valuable than the 2.0T; much more than 18% I would guess.

If you are willing to provide the VINs for the cars, there may be 'history' of them on early S that might be helpful.

What, you don't trust them to only help with the research of the car by providing the VIN?

I suspect that he doesn’t want to get sniped and lose either car. Weakens his negotiating leverage if suddenly another shopper joins the party.
Can’t say I blame him at all.

OP can always research the VIN here himself -- he doesn't need to post it to find out what is here!
