    Any ideas?

My 1971S came with few records. As I disassembled the engine components I found a few places where the letters E.A.S. had been engraved. In addition, I found the same engraving with the word “Cort” engraved above the E.A.S.

    Any thoughts?

Those are wrecking yard parts; the "Y" has apparently gone missing.

If it came from the SF Bay Area, it could be European Auto Service in San Rafael. I don’t recognize “Cort”, though.

Perhaps, but doubtful. It’s in two different places and it’s clear there there is not or was not a Y. I guess i’ll Never know...

How about Euro Assembly Systems, Inc. I think they are on the west coast but were bought out by a cabinet making company.
