Painting door jambs: What to do about the VIN sticker and Kunstharzlack plate?

    Hi everyone,
I'm getting ready to paint my 73.5T. The door jambs need to be painted too. how do you preserve the original vin sticker (silver) and the "Made in West Germany" plate in the driver's side jamb? Will Porsche reissue the owner with a replacement sticker? Do people just mask them off and strip around them? I can't imagine that looks very good.

Nice. Have you used these? Is the quality good?

If the door jamb plate is worth saving you can pry the rivets out I think they are "press fit". Need to pry from behind including the plate itself. Otherwise this place has the plates and rivets:
