FS: Real RS Steering Wheel 914.347.806.10 Dated 3/73

Very rare 806.10 steering wheel dated 3/73 so for the later RS cars also its original horn pad is metal. This wheel must have been pulled early in it's life because it is in excellent condition and maintains its original leather cover with no wear marks and is the correct 3" thickness. Comes with original cancel ring and contact pin, stitching and spokes are excellent. I could not find an original one of these for sale anywhere, tried posting here and on DDK to ask for help on price to no avail. Same wheel with 3/73 date code is in this thread, post#54:

I see some of the early wood wheels going for $3k - $5k (after restoring), but this RS wheel being so original and going on a mid 6 figure car should be at least that valuable right? I have never had an 806.10 wheel with this late of a date code, so if you have a real RS missing its original steering wheel this is for you. Let's go with $3,750 shipped in the USA, extra for outside the USA.

I don't think so, but you can always try...
FWIW, the last two great looking RS wheels (806.10) respectively didn't sell for $1000 and didn't sell for $800 respectively. GLWS.

I am going to assume those were early dated '69-'70 wheels and most of those were used on the 914-6 so there was a good chance they were originally on a 914-6. These later dated 806.10 with '73 dates were made specifically for the RS cars (914-6's were not being made and the 914-4's used the dished hubs). so this one was probably on a RS delivered March '73 to the end of the run in July '73. Also remember this wheel is all original! Like I said I could not find an original 806.10 wheel dated '73 that was sold anywhere and have no way to put a value on it. I have verified that a 806.10 wheel dated '73 was the original wheel supplied on a May '73 Mfg. 911RS car.

Also verified another late RS (1410) that has its original steering wheel 806.10 dated 3/73. Was also informed there are some 1/73 wheels that were original to the RS.
