    Mounting a Roof Rack

Getting ready to mount my roof rack, do I need to take any precautions? I am a bit concerned about damaging the paint on the gutters.
    Thanks, Kevin

Take an air fish bowl transparent pipe (the one that brings air from the air pump to the bowl), cut it half, put the halves on each clamp. that works very well - doing this for decades.
    Hope it is clear.

    unsure you got it.
    I try again
take a piece of aquarium air hose, cut 2 pieces of 2", open them by cutting half in length. Then you now have 4 pieces you may put each on each clamp to protect the gutter.

Please post a pic of the roofrack once on
