FS: 1963 Porsche 356B Super Cabriolet, Solid, Low Miles, Drives Great!

    The car has been sold.

Signal Red with Black leather seats. Originally Champagne Yellow per Kardex and paint tag.

Porsche sold new to a woman in Bavaria on March 13,1963. Shipped to California in 1970 where it sat in storage until a Portland man bought it in 1986 and put less than 500 miles on it over the next 32 years. Odometer shows just 34000 kilometers. Could be original miles but it has probably turned over once which would be about 83000 miles. All gauges work, including the clock! Lights, Wipers, Horn, etc work fine. LED brake lights and turn signal lights - nice and bright!

Porsche is numbers matching Hood, Doors and Transaxle per the Kardex. Original engine was 706385 currently has 712813 which runs great. Original transaxle is smooth and quiet with great syncros. Just replaced all six wheel cylinders and all brakes hoses are new too. Flushed brake system with fresh fluid at the same time. Three of the wheels are KPZ's with the correct date stamp of 2/63, other two are slightly earlier KPZ'z. Tires are brand new. Koni shocks with very few miles all around, including steering stabilizer.

Solid, original pans and longitudinals. Battery pan was replaced decades ago, probably due to damage - there are signs of repair there. My guess is they ran over something since the hood is original. Paint is at least 32 years old. Body work was done to the standard of the day, but car looks great and gets many compliments wherever I go. One scrape behind passengers door by torsion cover (shown in last picture).

This Porsche has a clear Oregon title in my name.

Beautiful car, seems like a nice price too. Originally champagne yellow, I'd take it back to that.
