Block sanding continues, and it really doesn't look any different in pictures than the last ones I posted.

Part cleaning and refurbishing also continues. Picked up an early style jack for the car last month. I'm not certain if it is 100% correct for a 8/71 build car, but it's a whole lot closer than the green dot that came with the car. It isn't like new now, but it cleaned up pretty nicely and works as well as this type ever did.

Wow , the jack looks great and it is correct for your car . I have seen other very original early '72's with this style jack .

I thought these were for earlier cars and a ‘72 already has the later style jack like this one:

Nice working cleaning it up in any case!

Well, I'm not sure either. I have a green dot jack like that also. But I had gathered that one of the 2-handle jack styles was included in the early '72 cars. Mine is 8/71.

    I could be wrong, though.

Well, it's hard to say, Todd. Mine is almost 1000 cars earlier than yours (2100317) and has numerous details that are the same as '71 cars. I note—as an example—that the Cunningham '72 S that Longballa restored was a 7/71 car and had a 2-handle jack very similar to the one I cleaned up.

No way to say with certainty at this point in time.
