If it’s done by Zagato, is a newly built 1958 Zagato Carrera still a replica?

BaT has an aubtion if the 1958 Carerra Speedster they bodied on a 1958 Porsche Carerra Speedster.
Original disappeared after a fatal crash.

Apparently made 9 more a few years ago at $350k each.

Used donor 356’s, in this case a 1060 B coupe.

Mechanically not accurate as instead of a 4 cam has a push rod, brakes, shifter etc.
surprisingly even the original Z Zagato logo isn’t there!

Is this just another replica even though Zagato built or commissioned it?

Seems nicely done though. A little sterile.

The Zagato Carerra Speedster replica even though by Zagato strikes me as a bit soul less.

At least the 993 is “authentic” and has the correct engine etc.

Though I like the intent of Zagato. But they should have put one of those rebuilt carrera motors in it.

There was a rumour that 10 of these car were going to be built here in Europe in collaboration with Porsche and one of these 10 cars had to be donated to the Porsche musuem.
But haven't heard of it since;..

Someone on the board here should have the original drawings of this car.

Because that is what it originally had? More hp?

And they definitely aren’t unreliable as race engines.
