    2 screw / 3 screw door frames

According to the info on this forum I believe the change from 2 screw to 3 screw door/window frames took place sometime before 300492. Was it just the door frames that changed and not the doors?

Does anyone know when the door itself changed from early style to the later style, or perhaps the early door remained the same from 1964 right the way up through 1965 to the introduction of the LWB in 1968 with just the door/window frames changing in between.

Am I right in thinking that 1965 to 1967 SWB doors were identical for the 911 & 912?

What are the chances of finding a 2 screw door/window frame I wonder?
    Looking for 1967 911 trans 130830/902-1

There was a change in the doors, probably some time in early 65. The inner door panels had different mountings for the remote door lock cables that went from the inside handle to the door lock. The earlest versions had flexible cables that were attached to the inner door panel. The "later version had metal rods that didn't need to be attached to the inner door panel. A very minor change but a change none the less. Sorry, I can't be more specific about the date.

    Regards

    Jim

how do you define early door?
there is so many things that have been changed on swb doors...IŽd say +20 minor differences.even 64 doors have been altered.
i`v posted a pic here earlier this year...with a lot of incircled areas ... can`t find it at the moment .

i was lucky with at least one door frame...to my own surprise i found one in my "door frame corner" that i bought somewhen without noticing what it was
when i was looking for some good wedged frames that i wanted to convert and use for #96 i realized what i found.

never saw one for sale in the interwebs...good luck finding one
