Thread: RS tires sizes and options

Thank you for the kind words 911MRP. Longstone is a commercial entity so no thanks need really. but much appreciate all the same. Hopefully good stuff like this comes from the fact i am deeply involved in the world of old cars for my own hobby. so the hope is i can get some feeling for what people want. In the case of the CN36 we can have a top quality tyre with a carcass that handles the way a car like an early 911 should, while benefiting from modern clever compounds. so it is the best road tyre from a drivers point of view as the first and most important issue. Then we can give it the correct period side wall and tread design so it looks right too.

We are on with thiiss for the P7 as wwell we already have 15" tyres and 16" P7 should be with me any day now.

I don't knhow why the CN36 was called the Road Star

    Any chance to have 225/50 16 P7s?
That would be great for early 928s owners.

    Edit: It seems so:

    Great.
It is nice to see also 245/45-16.

    Yep

Michelin made the 245 a while ago https://www.longstonetyres.co.uk/mic...s/sx-mxx3.html

but they didn't offer the choice of fronts as Pirelli do with the P7. It is noce to have a choice.

Now, if we could just get Yokohama to re-pop the A-008P in 195/65R15 and 215/60R15…
