    And your concern is for a regular windshield... I’m at times super paranoid driving my RS with perhaps one of only two surviving lightweight windshields (I think the Porsche museum has one)... I wonder what that’s worth? Inevitably it will break...?

    During the latest ESR European event a stone on a french motorway crashed my original 1977 Carrera 3.0 windshield ... still crying ...

    Are you able to take a picture of the SIGLA etching of your windshield? I would be interested in what it looks like compared to a normal '73 windshield etching. Thank you!

    Just as a reference point, where is the best place to buy a replacement tinted screen? My car was 'catacolour' glass all round and it needs a new screen as the old one was a not very good repro with a nice green tint band across the top!

    I confess Peter, I have no idea. Assuming it's etched. After almost 50 years you barely even feel it.

    Not sure if the originals were done this way but I suspect they were. Glass etching cream over a template. Look up armour etch glass etching cream.
