I can see 912 owners cheapin out on this but with the average restored SWB 911 value at 100k+ why not step up and buy NOS or really nice used? This is not the 80's or 90's where people bought crappy 356 repro parts because the cars were "only" worth $20k.
I have been in search of original lenses front and rear that are in xlnt condition over the last year and haven't seen any that work for me. The lenses that were on my car were all cracked just like the majority of the ones I've seen for sale in the marketplace section here. I've re-chromed my housings and reflectors so they look great. I would rather use a good quality repop and get the car on the road rather than wait forever for good quality used oem ones to come along. When good quality used ones come along, buy them and swap out the repops. No short cuts here, just being realistic about what's available.

I got a broken US tail light today, along with a really nice left Euro tail light, its always a crap shoot buying used ones. Color is throughout and the clear section is a separate piece glued to the red lens. This piece is next to the clear inset portion. Its much harder to match used Euro rears as US. because of the fading and different amber colors, some are more orange some more amber, then there is that pesky black caulking in some.
