    The good old days

Just cracked open my new issue of 000. The best yet as far as my interest. A lot of back in the day topics. I loved the history of Porsche coming to America.
What really caught my eye was a factory worker installing a motor in the new 67S. He has sandles on his feet !! At the risk of Pete coming after me for posting the picture, I am going to do it. It really has to be shared, so classic. Pete has gone way beyond 1st class on this project.

A kindred spirit! I'm not the only one who works in flip flops!

Notice how only the bottom half of the muffler is painted,,,,,since that's all the customer would see ! And what is in that bottle on the left ?

Yes Frank, but aren't you in the office? What would OSHA say if they caught you in the shop with your sandles. Probably a heavy jail sentence.

    Office??!!
    That’s hilarious.

I wish OSHA well in getting access to my shop on Saturdays.

Ed, Obviously that’s a bottle of Marvel Mystery Oil. Also notice no tail pipe tip. I’m sure they waited til engine was in.
And unless I’m mistaken the helper has a cigar or cig in his hand.

    Good ole days indeed.
