    185x70r15 Avon CR6ZZ Pictures

    Hi,

I recently purchased a 73T (YAY!) and the car currently has a set of 205/55r15 Yoko S drives on 15x6 Fuchs. I have a set of 15x7 Fuchs being refinished and have been thinking of mounting Avon CR6ZZ tires in 185/70 square on the car.

I've done a search, but couldn't find any pics of this setup. Does anyone have pictures of their car or others running the CR6ZZ tires in 185/70 square on their skinny lwb?

    Thanks,
    Carlo

Funny you should ask. I had the same need before I just bought a set for my car. Here is a pic of another member’s car that he provided to me with the Avon’s.

Thanks guys! Exactly what I’m looking for. Are you guys happy with the tire from a performance standpoint?

Too early to say for me. I just got them on and haven’t had any good seat time to evaluate yet. Will let you know when I do. Others I know certainly rave about them.

I've only seen the first pic With Wheel and Caliper and thought looks like Anatols SWB
    Scroll down: Bingo
You could PM Anatol here on the Board it's his car.
Darren65 also runs Avon (but IIRC his are wider)

Love the looks, mixed on the performance aspect for a vintage street car. They may be amazing when they're hot, but I find that's not the way I drive my 914 on CR6ZZs and they're a bit lacking in feedback when "cold." Some of that (all of it?) may be a matter of setting the car up better, but also starting to wonder if I'd prefer P6000 N-spec...a true summer street tire...but what I really wish I could still get is A-008Rs or RS IIs. I'd even take A-008Ps. Or...AVS Intermediates. But our choices seem to be CN36, XWX, CR6ZZ in the period correct category, the Vred in the almost correct category, endless all-season choices, or autocross/track tires with short sidewalls.

Performance is the best I have found when it isn't too cold or wet. Also, they are only good until about 5,000 miles . . .
