looking good... it appears you have a fixture for the front bumper mounting bolt holes, is that 6mm or more too high. and would the center of headlights be too high as well.... does the front pan warrant replacement, rust wise?

    Hi Bob,
The bumper fixtures are spot on. In fact everythnig in front is aligned, except those front A arms spots.
It simply looks like the front suspension pan that has been replaced when the work was first started in the USA was placed too high. It is not rusted at all, Some welds will have to be checked but it is solidly in.

that's good …. so, of you welded in the appropriate thickness shims, the cars geometry and road height would be at design.? I imagine that it would be weather the 6mm higher space would look bad... or assault a builders concious.

    Bob,
In geometry and driving points of view, common sense says weld the spacers and be done with it, as long as the pan is solidly in (which I think it is). No one would notice it, unless I ran over a concours/body work/restoration specialist.

I will ponder it, we have some weeks before the work gets there.

I have seen very famous historic and revered cars with more off canter pickup points being driven flat out without noticeable ill handling effects.

As you say, it is up to first A- function, then B- conscience.

yeah..... and if the concourse/body restoration guy you ran over could not appreciate the extra 6mm then the heck with him....

Would someone know the answers? :

    Questions:
-Does anyone have the measures for the seat rails attachment in the shell? NOT the measures when the bolt on rails and supports are in, but the references of the threaded inserts in the center tunnel and side longitudinal.
-Does anyone have a reference chart for the pedal cluster and throttle pedal? The jig for the throttle pedal has several possible places in the base.

Got myself a rear window, defrost-less.
The handbrake pivot was stuck. Managed to take it apart and will sand/repaint. Don't want to powder coat that one.
Unpacked the rest of the powder coated parts. Now to find a good supplier for all the suspension bushings. Leaning towards Chuck at Elephant.

Weekly visit to the body shop:
-The torsion tube is DONE. Perfectly aligned in every reference. Welded in more than originally
-Both rear inner fenders are repaired. Need some smoothing, but solid.
-Inner sills are welded in place, outer sills are being massaged in place.
    -One jack point is in
-Roof plug is in. They will weld all along the perimeter and tin it as needed. So far only pinch welds.
-Rear fenders have been clamped in place and seem to align correctly, save for the line with the rear bumper sides.
-Right outer sill has been modded to hell, is unuseable.

Questions ( I wish more people would help with these, it is not easly finding al the answers by myself…):
-Is the outer sill welded to the kidney bowl in the rear inner fender? looks like it, but there is a 1/4 '' gap there now, when the rest of the sill is aligned correctly.
-What is askew with the rear bumper/fender lines? I have ordered the seals to present everything, but the lines are weird so far.
    -Front seat rail spacing?
-Does anyone have a reference chart for the pedal cluster and throttle pedal? The jig for the throttle pedal has several possible places in the base.
