do I see 2 MB wagons........?......love the silver generation...u do have good taste

Yes, 2 wagons. The silver is now in the hands of my nephew It is a beast of a car. You can do things with it no one believes, it is so robust. The white is the "new" one. 600Nm diesel with 60% of the fuel consumption has its advantages. Tech has gone leaps in 15 years. There's a third in my wife's garage, C350 Sportline. All are 4WD.

Wow George, you are moving along quickly. Very nice.

What's your plan on closing up the hole in the roof - a panel over the sunroof opening , entire roof skin or graft on entire roof section starting from the A-pillars?

I am leaning towards the Fenn Lane panel, if my body shop does not volunteer to craft one themselves. Then butt-weld it in. Body guy has closed sunroofs before, seems confident.

I found rust between the frame and the roof skin, all the adhesive had failed, the rails are broken, the bowdens seized, the wind deflectors broken and the motor dead…

    I. Do. Not. Like. Sunroofs.

Should I ship you a Sportomatic gearbox with the other parts?

Oops, it seems some words from Webster's are not permitted here. Fair enough.

Frank, you had me LOL at Sportomatic.

That said, when you're ready to ship, PM or email me.

    George

I can send you a complete sunroof removed from my 71 911. It all works, sort of............. I used a Fenn Lane panel to plug the hole.

    Regards

    Jim
Finally got rid of that PIA sunroof after 46 years of trouble.

Many thanks Jim, but no, thanks.
Would you however have an email adress for the guys at Fenn Lane?
