How to remove the tail light buckets

In preparation for paint, I'm trying to perform some of the disassembly myself. Boy would a manual be nice.
Can anyone tell me how to disconnect the tail light buckets? There's a big electrical line going into the back. How do you disconnect that?

Pull the plate off the back of the housing. Self explanatory after that.

We've found it's a great way to kill 2 birds as those electrical connections should at least be inspected once and a while.

even easier to remove the lid and inspect the connections once the assambly is on the work bench the 3rd bird killed is you don`t have a dangeling loom that gets overspray...sure one can mask it but i prefere it the clean way

Just open the engine bay, pull the connector off and push the taillight side of the connector through the opening in the inner fender to the outside.
