The cool thing (yuck, yuck) about A/C is that no one knows it’s there from a glance. There’s no doubt tinted windows enhance A/C performance but then you have to put up with gangsta mystique. Plus the dreaded scuffing after a few years.

if you decide to tint the windows i wil pitch in for the air ride and gold wire wheels so you can take it cruising on central

There are plenty of clear thermal films for windows now that really cut down on the greenhouse effect without the gangsta look. Probably worth looking into.

Nothing pisses me off more than not being able to make eye contact with a driver with tinted windows right after making a bonehead driving maneuver!

This reminds me of Unspoken Rules of the Road, #38:

"As long as you avoid eye contact with the driver you cut off, there is no infraction."

Would you settle for gold-center Fuchs?

The old 911 doesn't have enough tint but it has lots of glass area. I would be happy with tinting that was as good as in my Honda. It doesn't have to be limo grade. I will start a separate thread to ask about owner experiences. Sorry for taking your thread off track, Frank.

BTW, maybe it hasn't gotten to airbags, but the lowrider look appears to have caught on with early 911 owners. Many of the cars that I see around LA are low enough that I wonder if they are driven much.

It will be the only SWB 911 advertised with functional a/c that’s for sure.
