$65 for early walk-in, $45 for 10AM walk-ins. CA and LA county taxes on top of both at around +9%. I believe parking is a flat $25, based on what I was able to find separately online for Universal Studios.

Does this strike anyone else as a bit excessive?

    Hm

Well, when I think about what it could cost to prep/take over/use/clean-up a venue like that for a day --- not to mention any event insurance to cover, ya know, stupidness . . .

. . . surprised this event hasn't moved outta state, by now

Then/again --- not holding my breath for an East Coast Version . . .

Yes, I think it is pricey.
And the night before at Petersen is another $55 cars and coffee.
(I think for many, this is their cost to build business relationships, to sell something)
And don’t forget, you can’t bring in food, and have to stand in line to buy theirs. So add that.
(This year, I am sneaking my own food inside my coat)
You can go to Disney for $100 till midnight, and they let you ride the rides.
(Yet, last year I got 2 bus rides)

Honestly, I would rather buy paint or new rubber, or a vintage grill badge.

I go so I can spend time with my brother, which is priceless. He is as funny as Will Ferrell.
    So I wouldn’t miss it.

Word on the street is that it's going to sell out in record time. They could probably charge double and still sell out. From that perspective, I think it's a bargain.

Yep, perfectly great 3.2l in a 69 body. But no room. Guess my provenance is not good enough. Maybe this is becoming a very elitist deal. Seems like the folks who are the most interested, may not get in to the diplay area. I'm thinking probably not paying $65 to park somewhere away from the venue.

    My Inspiration

    '86 44 Turbo, black/red,7's and 8's fuchs, autothority - sold (rocketship)
'97 Boxster, first delivered in DC Metro, silver/red -sold (huge mistake to buy this one)
'99 C2, silver/black, RoW M030, limited lip, short shift - sold (good ride, but...)

    '69 912, 3.2 with all the trimmings
    (finally got air cooled)

Exactly, and agreed. My RUF restored 73RS was rejected. Ridiculous, especially considering some of the cars that I know were accepted. Oh well, who knows what the parameters were...

Wow! A RUF 73RS was rejected? Wonder what cars made the list?

I personally have never gone but hope to this year. It just looks like they do an awesome job. $65 seems reasonable for all that staging they do.

My car was accepted, but I'm having trouble in the checkout process. It keeps telling me I need to sign the event waiver. I don't see an event waiver?
Anyone else having the same issue?
