    Sachs Sports Clutch

    Hi Guys,

I’m running a Sachs Alu Sports clutch with lightened flywheel. The pedal pressure is obviously heavier than the standard one.
Has anyone had experience fitting a larger billet slave cylinder to help reduce the pedal pressure?
(Or should I just toughen up and grow stronger calf muscles? )

Any advice or recommendations are appreciated!

    Cheers

Since you're only mentioning the slave cylinder I'm assuming you have a G50 trans?

If you're talking about converting a mechanical system to hydraulic that's a much different proposition.

    Hi Frank,
Yes, I should have been more specific. It’s for a 964, not my ‘72S. Should have posted this in the “other” topics forum. My bad!

Sounds like something may be binding on the cross shaft or you're a wuss.

Skinny legs not an excuse; ever seen a deer run and jump?

There's always the possibility the cross shaft is causing the problem.

2 to the power of 2... Frank your testing my Binary Maths..

A kiwi should be able to jump 1/2 as high as a deer..???

I think Gary has a cross shaft issue.

I did however run into a "mob" of wallabies (small variety of Kangaroo) over summer and expected them to jump high.
New Audi A4 front bumper, grill, headlight and bonnet have now been ordered.

    Follow-up on this:

We experienced the same thing; sport clutch requiring unusual amount of pedal pressure; actually awkward and inconvenient. Definitely took some of the pleasure out of day-to-day driving.

The real bummer is that Sachs has no stock replacement currently. If you're going to use the sport version, you've been warned.
