    Early Scheel Mounting Question

I have an early Scheel racing bucket, no provision for headrest. It has the proper lightweight seat adjuster and rails mounted to it. The question is what type of mount to be used on the floor; either the tilt base as used with Recaro sports or the crossbar type that ST Classics sells. Looking for help and photos if you have them. Much appreciated.

Cross bars should be the correct fitment unless you want to get in the rear. Here's mine.

Thanks Stretch. So you have the factory seat mount on the outboard (left side), the crossbars, and the seat rails yes?

I recently acquired an original Scheel 300 race seat (fiberglass tub) with original Scheel sliders. I am planning to mount the seat with the Scheel sliders on an original SWB Recaro tilt frame.

Uwe, I'll dig one up. Its amber fiberglass, original vinyl on bolsters, corduroy center, and square weave carpet on the back (bound edges).

That's correct. Mount the cross bars to the factory chassis parts, then add your scheel sliders.
