    3-4K for a 66mm crank? I think not.
If these parts bring more than 9k I will start dumping engines on BaT.

    Which heads for 2.6?

2.2-2.7 that are opened up a bit. Valves and springs determined by RPM/cams/compression.

Ended at $5500. Wasn't that a very fair price if both case and crank are good?

    Not so fast Canuck!

I think it was fair based on the 100mm spigots. Those are razor-thin and it takes someone who's going to go 2.6, 2.8, or get very creative. Realistically someone building a hot rod motor would only use the case, crank, and IMS out of that batch of parts.
Rods, oil pump, and F/W are almost literally throwaways.

Good news is hopefully I'll sell the schmo who bought it a bunch of race bits.

Good point...but still the crank alone is $1800-$2500 the case has to be worth 3k.

So I'll change it from very good to just good price.
