No "duty" is involved. They share info because they are good people. But even good people can tire of requests for info that is easily available with even a cursory search.

This site is packed with photographs, descriptions, part numbers and accounts --- made by some very generous + knowledgeable contributors . . . information and counsel that can't be found in one place, anywhere else

And all of it? ---------------------------------------------------------------- FREE

When I think about all the time + cost + learning curve involved for me to come up with even a fraction of the information available here --- not-to-mention the money I saved by making some better-considered purchase decisions . . .

. . . the modest cost of a membership here seems trivial (ridiculous, more-like)

Be nice if more people such as yourself --- looking for help with their quest . . . do a little something to support what this site + its members have provided

    Dear all,
I am on my quest to find a 911s up to date 1969 year of manufacture.
I have been the last four months on this search.
This site has been a treasure to me teaching me about most aspects of the cars.
I am indebted to all who do more than expected in helping people like me and believe me they are great.
When I finally find the car I am looking for , and I do now believe that I am very very close.
I will of course become a full member of this elite society ( and I am not pulling anybody's leg here , because I have great respect for people who have knowledge ) .
If I will not manage to buy one , then it will be futile coming here and in some cases annoying members with my requests.
As I have put on my profile , I am in search of this car , and I take so much time because I want it to be a very fine example.
Whether it needs work , or whether it needs no work done to it.
Only when I finally buy one will I immerse myself fully in the hundreds of pages full of information which is Gold to any owner.
Once again , I thank you all , and hopefully I have not annoyed too many of you ;-)

That ship sailed... of course you're annoying. Very annoying.

Many of us are annoying; the secret is to offset it with something of value.

At this point you're out of chips but I have great hope you'll eventually have something to offer.

    Ha!!!

johnjohn68... a Hall of Famer here! Gone but not forgotten.

Thread below is priceless. Reads like an Abbott and Costello gag. Read over it again and almost started crying. (Still very disappointed that Mark's post disappeared on the first page.)
