Size: 61.2 KBbetween the front engine compartment wall and the edge of cross over metal.
It’s a heavy vinyl/rubber material with a foam type insert, just wedges in the gap
Searched the parts book and can’t find a part number.
Where to get or make ?
    Thanks for assistance

I believe that goes in between the crossmember and the firewall. Try going to AVECO. a major supplier to manufactures and restoration shops. They have a huge selection of generic rubber products and seals.

I fabricated a duplicate thin wall rubber tubing and foam cord....both at McMaster Carr.

I've tried that in the past in various spots...bicycle inner tubing turns to powder in a year or so.

Look for some EPDM or Viton tubing.

    Guys...
    Excellent comments .....
Thought I would need to fabricate.
Think EPDM type like the single sheet roofing material used with gravel ballast ...think will be my choice.

Odd detail for Porsche .....must have wanted separation from engine vibrations, heat and noise .
I know it’s on my 70 as well. What other years and when did they change ?

i`d say its more of an "unwanted air flow" seal like the ones surrounding the engine..
