    Who would you visit if you had an afternoon free in the Bay area?

    I am restoring a 70 911s and by chance have this Friday afternoon free in the Bay area. Who would you go and visit Porsche related if you had 2 hours to spare? Maybe a restorer or a someone who sells pre-73 Porsches? Would value ideas. Thanks!

    thats an EASY one ... Jim B. but not 100% sure if he`s still in the bay area

    He's there but on the Oakland side. Home of Tower Of Power, Lydia Pense/Cold Blood!

    SF was once a great place to visit. I haven't been in years. About a year ago I met a doctor who practices there. She and her husband bought a "river house" here in VA. (very popular)

    She said I probably wouldn't like what SF has turned into since I'd been there.

    Tom, good recognition of an east bay treasure, Tower of Power. I’ve seen them at least a dozen time over the past few decades. They play at a few smaller venues in San Diego annually and I go whenever I can. Oakland funk at its best!

    Listening to CB Since 1969! Mick Gillette (RIP) jumped to TOP. My first live concert. They led off for J Geils. J. Geils was good but TOP blew the roof off the place! Still love the work on "Waiting for Columbus", especially Spanish Moon!

    I’m retired and the shop is closed, but a great way to spend an hour or two is to visit my friends and neighbors at Fantasy Junction in Emeryville.

    fantasy junction is nice

    If you want to see about 6 959s, gulf 917s, 934, 935s, le Man cars, unrestored 911s....then Canepa, in scotts valley is worth the drive. 30 mins south of San Jose.
    it is free, open to public.

    Current long term ownership: 63 Cab, 71 911, 74 914

    Seconding Fantasy Junction and Canepa, both good recommendations and set up for drop-in visitors.

    If you want to see restoration work in progress, Canepa's shop is hard to beat if they'll let you wander…and the museum is a gem.
