Does the emission sticker on fan strap have a year date? My 65 has a different sticker attached to the snorkel, but this may have changed with 66 model year.

It’s hard to tell from the photo but it appears that your cams are spraybar lube instead of center lube. I can’t see the oil lines connecting to the chain covers. If I remember correctly the January 66 cars still had center lube cams.

EDIT: center lube cams ended on engine 903069 in late 1965. Yours is correct in this regard.

spark plug wires, snorkle sticker as mentioned, no bendix decal on fuel pump, no hot air hose to snorkle, red ignition coil, later style clamps on air hoses, fuel lines and filter as you mentioned, look like later plug connectors.

The big problem is the hard fuel lines that go over the fan housing . You now have rubber fuel lines instead connecting the fuel pump to the right carburetor and right intake manifold float bowl .

If it's any help, here are hard fuel lines along the fan shroud of my '65:

Fabricating the fuel lines shouldn't take a whole lot of tooling.

Here's a photo of an original snorkel sticker:

You can get a snorkel sticker from Aase Sales

    Or from Car Bone

I personally prefer the Car Bone snorkel sticker. If you get to the Lit Meet, chances are good both Aase Sales and Car Bone will be there.

Finally, here's the only original color photo I have of a very early 911 engine (from a March 1965 brochure):

You can get fuel line ferrules from Brad Davis of HBD Products www.911rennen.com.

I don't think he has the hard fuel lines, but who knows, maybe he can help. He can supply the Center Lube Cam Oil Lines.
