    WTB: '70 - '73 dashboard

***** feedback from anyone re: the current offerings also appreciated *****

as the title states. don't need the speaker cover. trade for / toward anything I have for sale or cash outright. this is for a driver, but I still prefer an uncracked unit.

FOUND thanks to a forum member and long time friend.

There is a new one coming from Europe that fits perfectly and is supposed to have a good grain match. However, I haven't seen it yet.

Current version fits perfectly but has a really strange surface texture.

I need one too, and was thinking I may have to either look for an older version, or settle for incorrect speaker cover on the Porsche Classic offering. But I won't need mine for at least 6 months, maybe longer, so I will wait to see how this pans out.

Will there be some sort of announcement when this new version is released?

There are several of us watching this like hawks. My best guess is we'll know here within a day of it being available. I've heard everything from "several months" to "late this year". I wouldn't place a significant wager on any time frame other than "eventually".

I wouldn't use the Porsche Classic dash with that speaker grille for any amount of money. If you're desperate, find an old one with cracks and send it to justdashes.com. It won't be perfect but better than that Porsche Classic eyesore. Or send it to Tony and learn to live with a seam.

I’ll keep you guys in the loop.

I’ve hired Rick Singer to secure the first batch for me.
