    Are the curved outside edges correct for 71 ...??
    This replacement is from Restoration Design.

    little about the batteries of the 71` ... I can not identify the area you're referring to .. Maybe some other picture or diagram pointing at another car?regards!

    Pictures are too "close up" to understand the problem. How about a general scene shot to orient our attention?

    Here are a couple of full view......the question is only does the outside edge of the battery ball when looking down have a curl as shown on each edge .

    I'm still not quite able to see what the question is. Please tell us what RD part number that is, and maybe a wider angle shot of where the part goes.

    I had some of that done to my '72 before I had it shipped.
