Rare Shades 3: Pompano Beach, FL

    Hello everyone,

000 Magazine and @ptsrs invite you to join us for a cup of coffee and conversation at Rare Shades 3 on Saturday, April 6 @ Champion Porsche.

Attendance is free. For those who wish to display a Porsche in PTS or an unusual color in the display area, there's a nominal fee—but a goodie bag with 000 gear should more than make up for that. Registration is open at: https://www.000magazine.com/rare-shades

You can learn more about Rare Shades here, or by searching Rennlist:
    http://www.speedhunters.com/2018/08/...-000-magazine/

We hope to see you there!

    Best,

    Pete Stout

Registered. Russ, I hope to meet you there. I'll be in a PTS '86 Carrera. Very close to home for me, so looking forward to it.

Alllll about Smyrna on a 356. One of the first shoots I did on a 356 was a Smyrna car in Nicasio with a 911 engine. Was a hoot...

Look forward to seeing you, Russ!

    PTS Rare Shades #3

Good, laid back event yesterday with a solid turnout. Same familiar faces, and some new. Nice to finally meet Russ, and meet Pete Stout. Pete said my car may actually be the only one that has attended two of these events. I hope to get some other shots posted, but here is Russ' very nice notchback, and proof that green isn't such the unpopular color. With all the bright colors, the linen 993 Turbo really caught my eye.

Great to finally meet you as well, Scott. Some old friends attended with their unusual colors, such as the wonderful Aubergine '72 below... but really, the largest groups were greens and blues. No yellows and a lone 914 in safety orange.

Not a rare shade but still a really neat car story here: gentleman bought this '74 Anniversary S on his 30th birthday, car is totally original with just 17,000 miles. Wish I'd photographed the interior, it was perfect.
He really needs to drive it more!

My favorite color combination was a toss up between a mist green 928 with brown Pasha, or a 994 in a vivid purple sporting red leather. Some wonderful cars and people gathered, thanks again to Pete Stout for organizing and Champion for hosting a very laid-back event.

Thanks for coming out, gents—was great to meet you and so many others. As seen above, very cool cars turned out, too. Had a lot of fun at what was supposed to be (and was) a chill event.

Rare Shades 4 to be announced soon...
