Thread: Resealing a targa

I can forgive Frank for not appreciating Targas. Not very convenient when you can't reach the latches from the driver's seat...

Not that bad John. I just hate getting shoe prints on the seat.

    My interpretated translation:

Don‘t waste time sealing a Targa roof.

You don‘t know how the wind blows.

The Ladys love it turning the latches with my teeth.

Thanks a lot for bringing this up. The upgrades are most Interesting. I would like to buy the parts added for the later targa models, but where can they be purchased, and what are the part numbers / names?

    Jim,
I know this is a Targa thread but your comment about a sunroof is throwdown time. I love sun slit cars. We service a buttload of em and I can't remember the last time we had leakage issues that couldn't be resolved. (Uhhhh... Never.)

Make sure the seals are in good shape and the drains are clear. That's it. No worries after that.

Will be posting a '79 SC for sale soon that fits that very description. Car is driven regularly and hasn't had a top on it in at least 12 years.

If you must take the top with you don't fold it up and put it in the front truck, leave it unfolded and slide it behind the front seats.
