Hi Ron. Got to your PM. Replying here. I don't usually sell my old Porsche stuff but happen to know I have a surplus rest of world Frankfurt X series and probably a hundred assorted knobs plus faceplates and other things. Got old brochures and factory service materials that can help clarify.

Points to consider assuming you are sure you want a Frankfurt model:

Is your car original NA/USA or rest of world spec car.

North America Frankfurt typically different spec and visually obvious in that push buttons usually AM FM whereas ROW typically some LMU combination.

This is a table once uploaded by Uli that gives the years corresponding to the prefix letter on serial number. Like 911 model year it doesn't align calendar. Not sure of start month but near enough. Similar tables exist elsewhere eg Charlie white site used to have it.

One time folks used to get muddled on dating these using less precise model number but now well understood

Even if ROW originally maybe consider NA if you live USA due to frequency range as that was a typical regional market model difference to match broadcasting standards.

Also is Frankfurt on the kardex or COA as factory fit or was it dealer aftermarket. Latter gives more latitude on choice.

To mention 67 so two serial prefix might apply.

Once you are sure about NA or ROW model Frankfurt and the best fit series letter to model year can go from there. I'm relaxed if I sell radio or not but happy to help you figure out the most appropriate radio unit.

This is a photo of pages Blupunkt brochure from around that time. Discussing the tailoring base units with accesories to marques and model. Wouldn't say is it is exactly correct with that car and a NA AM FM unit but might be if interest for general guidance. Note the knobs main and silver notched adjustors plus silver faceplate. Are the knobs hard plastic dished? Flat rubber later afiak. I've probably got both styles knobs but would need to check.

The hard plastic are less common in my experience bit might have a few of that or similar style.
