The rear end of the pump has been retired. If you have to have the look it's an interesting way to go. EFI rules.

"The mechanical control of the pump (consisting of: speed controller, warm-up plate, altitude correction and throttle valve be dismantled without the mechanics damaging. It can be resetted to its original condition at any time."

I'm kind of over that. I even like PDK's.

I would be very interested if it saves a lot of fuel. (Petrol in the UK and Europe is prohibitively expensive).

But at that price €9,800 Euros, it would take forever to recoup the money.

    Don't be so sure.

As a purist, I think this is the answer to a question nobody asked.

OTOH, rebuilding an MFI unit will set you back about $2,000 here in the US. Twinspark advertise 1,300£-3000£ for a rebuild.

Fuel economy has never been a point of contention with any sports car I've owned. Running properly is more important and I'd be curious about anything that makes living with an old car easier.

I'm still a carb guy but would consider EFI long before I went to an MFI setup. Memories of MFI pump "door stops" are still fresh.

There is a complete MFI system for sale here for $18,000. Probably a better investment if you have to have a perfectly correct car.

Interesting solution on paper, kudos to those who have studied and built it ... kind of steampunk stuff! But .... not sure there is a market for that. Anyway, never had any problem with various MFIs since 1996 ...
