    Black leatherette seat material

    Hello seat experts,
when the Kardex mentions black leatherette/B seats for a 911, which is built in september 65,
did Porsche use different surfaces or did they use only one design? Was the leatherette perforated or smooth?
Did they always use the same leatherette for front and rear seats?

If there are different materials, which one would you use to be original?
I just got my back seats back and the perforated leatherette looks unusual.

For help, I would be grateful

    and patina

material MAH produces matches best(at least over here in ) i also ordered some US material via MAH... besides the price(times 4) i could not see any mayor difference..

mah has 3 different black vinyls that they call correct for porsche...bought a roll of each just to be sure i have it when i need it...
they did not have the correct perforation available at the time i was shopping there(4 years ago or so)

Does someone know if this vinyl is also correct for september 65?
I have never seen it especially for the back seats. But someone told me that different materials have been used.

I would be grateful for a council.
    Kind regards.

Is this basket weave grained leatherette the same that is mentioned in the colors brochure from 5/65?

Thank you Franz for the picture.

    Hallo Franz,
thank you, so I will change the material. You mentioned that MAH (Münchner Autostoff Handel GmbH) offers 3 versions of vinyl. Can you tell me which one you ordered? Has it a special item number or item name?
The brochure above from 65 mentions the material "basket weave" for model year 66. Did they change the design? Does basket weave for 66 has a different design than basket weave 68?

It is an original brochure from may 65 that describes the seat inlay basket weave.

Does someone have pictures of a 66 seat with this basket weave design?

    Kind regards
    Bernd

Just following up on this thread. I am looking into having some vinyl perforated. Does anybody out there have an original perforated SWB seat? I'd be interested in learning the exact hole spacing
