    911T Engine-Fuel Recommendation

Can anyone please advise what is the safe fuel you use in the US for a 911T engine. My car has finally arrived and I am just about to get my very first Aussie tankful of fuel. We have basic unleaded 91,95 or 98 Octane fuel or petrol as we call it here. Thanks everyone!

Depends on which T you got. The 2.4 was designed for lower octane fuels and can probably (if stock) do fine on 91. The 2.0 or 2.2 motors need higher octane, probably 98.

Even in a 2.4, if there is any possibility that the compression has been bumped up during a rebuild, higher octane is safest.

Higher octane fuels safer probably especially in warm weather. Can help prevent preignition.
Do you have ethanol in your fuels? That can wreck havoc on these old fuel lines even modern rubber ones.

If it knocks, you need higher octane. Anything else is overkill.

Stay away from the E10 (10% ethanol) if that is applicable down under.
